BECOME A VOLUNTEER! OMSI offers a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities. From greeting visitors and answering questions, to presenting science demonstrations in our exhibit halls and labs, to helping behind the scenes in our administrative offices, volunteering at OMSI is a great way to get involved with one of the country's top ten science museums. As an OMSI volunteer, you'll gain new skills and experience, meet interesting people, and enjoy a fun, family-oriented atmosphere. An enthusiastic attitude is all you need! Volunteer benefits include: * FREE admission to the museum and OMSI attractions for the volunteer * FREE OMSI family memberships for volunteers who serve at least 50 hours each year * Discounts in the Science Store and Market Café * Savings on OMSI camps and classes * Individual recognition for service to the museum * Ongoing training and support for an exciting and rewarding volunteer experience If you are interested in joining OMSI's volunteer team, we offer new volunteer orientations for adults every five weeks. Most volunteer positions require a commitment of at least eight hours (two four-hour shifts) per month for at least nine months.
